Anyone Having Troubles With Their 3DS/ 3DS XL's?

I've purchased my 3DS XL just this January, and after 8 months, I've already got hardware issues. My 3DS turns off when I press the L shoulder button and when I move the upper screen. I'm quite disappointed because it hasn't even been a year and the only game I've played the most was Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate (MH3U). I've never dropped or bumped it into anything and when I checked the web for hardware issues, it seems that there is a thin wire at the hinges where it flexes, and that thin wire was the cause of my 3DS's demise.

Have you guys had issues with the system like me? I don't know the quality control for handheld consoles are but the thing is that it seems that my 3DS just couldn't handle the hours I've invested in it playing. Well anyway I still have that one(1) year warranty from the store I bought from so I guess I'll use that.

For me, I think handheld consoles should have a lot of durability, and when I say a lot, I mean a LOT. Not all of us can disassemble and reassemble a 3DS and easily check out what's wrong with it. We just want to play in a console we've invested a lot of money into and have an assurance of it not having problems for at least one(1) whole year or maybe even better if it didn't have any problems in its whole lifespan.

I know the "new" 3DS will be released and some of us might just buy that if they're having problems with their previous 3DS but most of us don't have the money to get a new one and that is just unfair. Well I hope the future generation handheld consoles will be a lot more durable than ever before.
