On number one is Cera Cymmetry! The Diablos GS takes the top spot with its sadistic power. This is what Great Swords should be, only relics can top off the raw damage that this GS has. You can go and do quests by going raw damage all the way and this will still get the job done in no time. If you're ever having trouble getting Diablos Hardhorns, pick the G-rank Diablos that has the subquest in breaking its horns, just rinse and repeat that until you've got the desired amount of horns to make one of the best craftable GS in MH4U. (I still call this one King Atillart :O)

2. Rouge Sedition
The Seregios GS comes in second! With innate purple sharpness and the ability to gain 1 sharpness for every roll/dodge you make, makes this a top contender in dishing out consistently high damage throughout the hunt while not even using whetstones. Mostly made out of Seregios parts but requires three Conqueror's Seal to max it out on upgrades. It doesn't even need Sharpness +1 which means you can focus on getting other offensive skills such as Weakness Exploit, Attack Up L/XL and more!

3. Black Fatalis Blade
This GS oozes with power and element making this a good candidate in taking out monsters weak to dragon. This one could possibly be at a higher ranking but since utility is taken into consideration, this makes it to number three instead! This GS brings forth the calamity of Black Fatalis and boy is it a force to be reckoned with. If you want to craft this GS you'll be grinding for multiple Black Fatalis parts, both high rank and G-rank! (Oh yeah, it also needs a Devil Jho Crook and a Large Elder Dragon Gem for its last upgrade, but don't worry cause it's all worth it!)

4. Flame Fatalis Blade
If you're having trouble battling against monsters that are extremely weak to fire, then this GS will surely solve your problem! It has over-the-top catastrophic fire potential and has a long purple sharpness bar when paired with Sharpness +1, which by the way, makes the most out of elemental damage. You'll have to go through Crimson Fatalis to get his materials and cough up an Elder Dragon Gem from Elder Dragons to craft this one.

5. Daora's Deathmaker
There are a lot of monsters weak to ice and one way to exploit that is by using Daora's Deathmaker! Its name isn't taken lightly and it does what it's named for. Good raw, high ice and purple sharpness with Sharpness +1? Yes please! This GS starts from the Rusted Great Sword, if you're ever wondering where you can get that it's only a chance from rustshards which are mined at high rank maps such as the Frozen Seaway, Volcanic Hollow, Dunes (Night) and Heaven's Mount. The last upgrade of this GS also needs a Rathian Mantle and an Elder Dragon Gem so get your hunting gear ready!
